managing SQL server from win9x

I installed SQL server on a computer runnig WINNT 4.0 sp6, and installed the enterprise manager on a WINDOWS 98SE computer.
I can connect to do basic oprations add tables delete tables add database and so on.
Here is the problem:
when i try to use the import wizard to import anything to the SQL server the 98 machine will freeze (not the OS will freeze only the enterprise manager) and nothing happens on the SQL server, i can do the same thing from the server itself but i can not do that fromthe win98 machine,
the wizard works for any other opration like importing from dBase 5 to access but will not work from any where to SQL server.
Please HELP………….
