Mannesmann Tally Won’t Print in DOS

I have a new XP machine that needs to print to a networked (on a Windows 2K machine) Mannsmann Tally printer in a DOS-based program. I can print to it from Windows, but DOS programs give me an error. I have tried running the Windows troubleshooting program to no avail. Any ideas?
