MAPI problem in outlook 2000

When I add Lotus Notes Mail Service in outlook 2000 (corporate or workgroup) and then restart outlook, I get the message “MAPI spooler could not be started. Close and then restart all mail enabled clients.” I have looked at the ms web sited and found the article relating to this message, followed the instructions, can’t get around the error. This is happening on an NT and WIN98 machine. Thank you.
