Good afternoon,
Win2K Pro SP3 desktop – when being authenticated by a Windows NT 4.0 SP6 server, the users logon script gets executed and maps drives to specific areas on the server. On the users desktop, after authentication and the user is logged on to the network, the mapped drives from the logon script are ‘Red X’ed ‘ out, but still accessible. The network keeps dropping and re-establishing connection to these mapped drives “Only”; also, when you access these mappings, the ‘Red X’ dissappears and when closing the mapped connection – the ‘Red X’ appears agian. I have replaced all cat5 cables, replaced the NIC, plugged into a different switch, and tried the /persistent:yes switch in the logon script.
Any thought’s ?
Thx…Rod
