Memory Leakage

White box PC with Asus tuv4x bios 1004b
New CPU 933, New Ram 256 mb, New PSupply,New Hdrive 30 gig, has cd burner and cd rom drive.
ps2 type mouse and keyboard attached.
Creative Live Blaster OEM sound.
Unit power led flashes every several seconds and during the day while the unit sits ( blank screen saver) the memory degrades to the point the system becomes unuseable until ram is cleared with utility program.
Windows 98 se with upgrades will corrupt in about 4 – 6 weeks to BSD’s.
Any help appreciated.
