Memory management/cleanup – WindowsNT WS

Our call center employees need access to several programs in a timely manner. One particular seems to be a memory hog, and more often than not, the users receive “out of virtual memory” errors and have to restart. Where can I find information/tipson how to increase or make better use of memory and clean up hard drives?
