memory modules

I run windows 98 se. with 128mb. ram of which only 122880mb + 8192 shared is recognized by my machine. I have a64mb. & a 32mb. module laying around because my computer will not recognize them when they were installed.Also installed a new video card which doesn’t seem to change the memory values mentioned above. I’ve been looking for an accurate answer for some time now,to no avail.Can YOU help?
