Merging three domains

I must reinstall the OS to bring a foreign PDC into main domain. OS is on independent drive; what happens to the hardware raid5 that is also present in the machine? Does reinstalling the OS require action to introduce the raid set to the newly installed OS? action during install? Details, if you have ’em. Thanks!
