mice on a switch box

I use a ps2 mouse on a server with an omniview “belkin” switchbox. periodically I lose the mouse.
Is there any way to reinitilize the mouse driver in w2k?
This may be a hardware issue with the omniview switch box and nothing can be done in w2k to fix.
