Microsoft Certifications

I was informed a few days ago that Microsoft is completely over hauling there certification program. I have been looking everywhere and I do not see anything of that nature being presented. Reason I ask is because I was told that I should hold off on getting my MCSE or even working towards it because I will have to recertify in a few months. Can anyone provide guidance on this please?
