Microsoft Document Imaging

Hello. I have scanned 3 pages and saved as tiff – but when I try to select
text, I can only select text from the first page and not from the second or
the third? Is there a way to do this with document imaging? If this is not
the correct newsgroup to post my question, could someone please direct me.
