i would like to have a really good example of configuring a NT Server Box with two NIC cards to be a proxy server. Issue 1: The real IP address 198.x.x.x assigned to NIC 1 must be able to communitcate with three servers and a WAN that does not reside behind the proxy. The second NIC with the IP range of 10.x.x.x will be used for client machines. The clients must be capable of logging into an Exchange server residing above the proxy as well as receiving the login information from a PDC. Problems: Not sure if WINS is an issue here. NIC 1 has the real IP address and the gateway. NIC 2 uses 10.x.x.1 and has no default gateway. When I install the proxy client on a client machine I do not get NT login validation. I am able to surf the web so proxy appears to be routing web pages but not network browse functions. If anyone has some advice on directions or needs further information to provide an accurate response please let me know.
Thanks in advance.
