Microsoft Windows 10 Updates

Automatic updates to Windows 10 have now virtually destroyed two of my computers. The only solution offered by Microsoft Tech Support is a complete system restore, which means reloading dozens of applications some of which came installed on my computers by the manufacturers and I do not have installation disks for them. So, my computers are trashed. How do I sue Microsoft for damages due to their stupidity and negligence? More importantly, how do I stop these automatic updates in the future so they do not continue to destroy my computers????
