Microsoft Windows Update for Windows 98 and ME

Up until recently, I could go to the windows update area and check to see if there were any updates for my browser ver. 6. Now I still use good ole Windows 98 and ME for my OS. I’ve tried using Windows XP home edition and Professional and I don’t like them, so I switched back to Win98 and ME. Now, when I go to the update section on my browser MS states I’m using a MAC computer with a foreign OS! Now what gives MS? What do you think of this?
