Microsoft Word Startup Problems

I am having problems on a computer running Windows XP with Office XP. I have setup seperate user accounts with a family, and one particular login name cannot start Word properly, when she double clicks on the word icon it starts up in safemode. I have done virus checks, unloaded and reloaded microsoft word, and also created a new user account, but I still receive the same problem, does anyone have any suggestions??
