Microtek Scanner Model X6eL won’t detect

I get error message that the scanner isn’t detected when selecting “test”. Not sure what I am doing wrong. I am running Win2k Pro. This scanner has a scuzzy connection. I bought an Adaptec Card and contacted Adaptec and they advised me that I need to install the driver ASPI. I went ahead and installed that prior to installing the scanner, but it still won’t work.

Under “Host” I get the selection “still image device”. How come my scanner won’t work?
