Midges

I have a LG TFT monitor
Becuse it seems the current uk climate is unusually warm there seems to be a lot of those little storm flies around that some people call “midges”
One of the little blighters has got behind my screen and has expired there
My question is this
Why didn’t it die in the corner of the screen where it would never have bothered me, why does it have to be right in the centre of the screen where it is guaranteed to p**s me off?
Will I have to buy a new monitor or will it decompose in the fullness of time?
