Migrating from Windows Server 2000 to Windows Server 2008

I am planning a migration from WIndows Server 2000 to Windows Server 2008 STD 32 bit. The server I am migrating runs my network: DHCP,DNS,Active Directoty, Group Policy, file and print server. I want to run both serves parallel and eventually shut down the old server. i guess in the old NT fashion I would like to run a PDC and BDC. Is this possible. Thanks in advance for your replies.
