Migrating user accounts from domain to workgroup

I have been asked to remove a number of computers in the domain and place them in a separate workgroup. What is the simplest way to preserve the user accounts in the domain and install them on each local machine? We need to keep the Outlook settings and data and the separate user files so people can access their “stuff” when they log on to the local machine instead of the domain.
