Millennium Edition – WINS ???

I am setting up a PC (Windows ME pre-installed) for a user that wants to access our NT LAN from home. Normally (using Win98) we enable WINS as well as DNS when setting up (this works).

It is supposed to be in My Network Places>TCP/IP properties,but all that shows is DNS. If I add a Protocol (making 2 TCP/IPs), I do see WINS and there seems to be no way to get the WINS to show without adding both protocols.

After configuring and rebooting, it defaults back to the original TCP/IP withoutWINS. I have tried every combo I can think of with no success.
