Missing General Tab / Internet Options

Ok, I got Hijacked. OS is win 98 (not SE)running updated Norton 2003 virus scanner. Somebody came in and hijacked my home page to a Gambling /porno directory. They also wiped out the General Tab on Tools/Internet options where you manage your Home Page. Got a bunch of Junk pirate programs doing there own thing on PC (Purist etc.) All cleaned up now (thank you Ad-Aware) but even SFC can’t find my General Tab. Any Suggestions??? Thanks.
