Missing harddrive

These are very stupid questions and I am new to the harware enviriobment of servers but I need assistance. Is it possoble for ‘n server to have a hidden drive that could be used to mirror the C drive and how is it possoble for the system to read a 80GB harddrive as a 150GB harddrive?
