Missing Inbox Messages

I opened Outlook express and all messages in inbox were missing. it however managed to receive new messages. i checked the inbox.dbx file and it is about 650MB. i created another profile tried to import the messages from my profile, it only imports sent and deleted messages in the inbox there is only the last 4 messages i received after the disappearance of other messages.

I even tried import using Microsoft outlook to no avail.
