missing lines of print

I am using and HP all-in-one and have had it for a couple of years. Recently when printing a document us Word, Wordperfect or notepad about every 15th line the top 1/5 of the line of print is missing. It seems to be a HP software problem but I have downloaded the lastest updates. Anyone have any answers?
