Modem disconnects me (not idle)

This is just recently, I’ve been with my ISP for many years, so I’m assuming its not them. But, my modem all of a sudden disconnects me whenever I connect to a game server (the one I use is Asheron’s Call), or when I download something from windowsupdate (I haven’t tried downloading anything else yet).

But I have tried everything basically, contacted my ISP, as well as the techies at the MSN Gaming zone, which is where the game I play is hosted.
-I have the latest drivers as well.
-Modem: U.S. Robotics 56k Voice Win
