I am looking for an answer to why every time my computer is completely shutdown and restarted it doesn’t recognize the modem. The modem in question is a plug n play Voice/Fax/Data ISA type (5634BTV 56K V.90 Ready Modem PnP)using a TI chipset which came with the computer. Tech support from the manufacturer is non-exsistant since they went out of business. The one way I’ve been able to resolve this problem is to sometimes wait 3-4 hours and hope that it will be recognized again. However this doesn’t work every time. The second way is to remove the modem card and then try to find the right position in it’s slot for it too work again. I have two extra ISA slots available yet the problem still happens when I try those. Any help in finding a solution would be greatly appreciated.
