Hello again.
In those happy days (before last Friday) when I had two working computers (See “Big Trouble) I ordered a Linksys Wireless Modem/Router, the idea being a) to connect my two machines together, b) perhaps to have improved internet since inevitably I suspect the free modem that came from my IP (my connection is pathetic these days) and perhaps c) to provide a connection for a chap who lives hereabouts.
First disaster: I forgot about the telephone connection which gives me free worldwide landline calls – there is no means to connect the phone to the Linksys modem/router. And I cannot see how I can connect the “router” bit to my existing modem. Is there a way out of this?
Second? Doesn’t work. It says that my IP user name and password are incorrect. By this I am referring to the username and password that I have in front of me on the IP’s headed paper…
Finally on reconnecting the original modem it took a very long time and numerous attempts to get it to work which was also disturbing.
Looks like another waste of money!
