Monitor hangs and sometimes no output but pc is running…

Guyz,

I have this irritating problem. Here’s my PC specs:

Windows Xp Pro
Pentium 4 2.4
1GB RAM
NVidia GeForce 4 MX Graphic Card

When I switch on my pc sometimes the monitor will hang for around 1-3 seconds and then it runs normally. Sometimes when i start my pc, the monitor shows no output just the blinking light at the switch on button. But my pc is running normally. I can’t seem to find the problem and really need help from you pro’s…
