Monitor Only See’s 16 Colors

Monitor Only See’s 16 Colors
New hard drive installed retinstalled
W98 (SE)Everything else working.
Can only set display to 16 colors rather
than 256. How do i reestablish 256
color scheme? Monitor: Samsung Sync
Master 700S (Driver not at their web
site)
