Monitor turns off after changing to higher resolution

Hi All,

My monitor turns off automatically when I change resolution to 1024X768. it works fine in 800X600 mode. I checked most keys in keyboard to wake it up but unable to on it. this problem occurred after new installation of win XP. Please help.
