Monitoring Logs

Is there a good tool or a good piece of code somewhere that can monitor logs and print reports. I suspect crystal reports may be of use but am in need of a quicker solution than learning the product. Please advise and/or provide me with the “how-to”for the crystal reports tool. Naturaly the less expensive the better. The NOS’s I need this solution for are NT4 & W2K Server. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
