more printer sharing problems

I have a toshiba windows xp Home wireless laptop an and dell desktop, same os,(wired) with a linksys wrt554g router.

Both will ping the other via ip addresses but not conputer names.

Both have internet access.

Trying to share an hp all-in-one printer (usb) from the Dell Desktop.

But the laptop will not see the Desktop.

both are in the same workgrup.

They both see themseleves in My Network places.

But they do not see each other nor any of she std shares.

Yes, I have already used Network Setup Wizard.

Any other suggestions.
