Motherboard confusion

My motherboard is toast. I have an AMD Athlon 850Mhz with a K7 Pro ATX IR3 Mainboard, I think made by Micro Star International. I need to replace it but I know very little about computers. In shopping for a new board, I am now totally confused. What should I know in order to replace mine and where to shop?
