Mouse Doesn’t Work

I have celeron 500MHz processor with 64MB of RAM.
I am not able to install Mouse on my motherboard. The problem is i have assigned com1 for modem. Will it affect the mouse. The Mouse is Logitech OEM Mouse Man. I don’t have the manufacturer’s installation disk. From Where to get the software needed for it. The mouse is showing exclamation mark on it. If i remove mouse and restart computer windows doesn’t detect it.
I also don’t know the name of motherboard and whether motherboard drivers are installed or not. How to find the which motherboard it is ?
Please help me.
