Moving a hard drive

by philldmc . Updated 22 years, 9 months ago

I have a hard drive with all my stuff loaded on, I need to move the hard drive to a different machine. As fate would have it the current machine is a Intel board with A P4 and I need to move the hard drive over to a MSI board for a AMD processor.

How do I prevent a driver corruption? Someone mentioned maybe doing a “sysprep”. What is this and how can it be done? Is this the right answer? is there a better answer?

I’m wondering if I went into the device manager and uninstall most items in safe mode and boot with new board will that prevent driver corruption?
