One of our upcoming projects is to move an Exchange server that currently
resides on a PDC to a new machine that will be in the same domain, same
site, same organization, and hopefully the same data and users. If we
install Exchange on a new server, stop existing services on both servers,
and copy over the Exchange folders, will we have any problems with the SID?
I actually just did this a few days ago, but with a BDC. I am concerned
that accounts will have to be recreated, and from thetext of this message,
I can’t tell.
In addition, we have two more Exchange servers with fewer users (about 15
each). One is in the same domain, the other isn’t. How can we move the
data from these two servers (including Info Store and User accounts) to the
new Exchange server created above? Thank you.
