MS Access date formats

I have a MS Access application on a central server available via Citrix to 30 or so users.
Two of these users are seeing their dates displayed in ‘American’ format mm/dd/yyyy. The others are all OK. I have checked one of the 2 PCs – the regional settings look OK (English(UK)). Short of a virus, what else can affect this? Grateful for anything.
