I am currently running two servers; one as a PDC and the other as a RRA server. Both servers contain NICs that are attached to the same switch. The RRA server contains a second NIC that is connected directly to the Internet. The switch is a Linksys business switch with VLAN capability.
What I would like to do is divide the switch into two seperate VLANs; one for the ‘private’ network (VLAN1) and the other for a wireless ‘guest’ network (VLAN2).
How can I setup the DHCP Relay Agent on server2 to relay DHCP requests from VLAN2 to the DHCP server on VLAN1 without the use of ‘helper-ip addresses’ as the switch does not support them. I want the wireless clients to access the Internet but not the private network located on VLAN1.
