MS mouse

I am using one of the MS mice that have a magnifier button on it. It is useful and convenient, but one annoyance is that there are some things that are not viewable when the magnifier is used. Things such as the entire Rocketboom program and Livetaskbar Views come to mind. Is there some workaround, short of not using the magnifier at all? The software that the mouse uses is Intellipoint 6.1
