MS Office Specialist Exams

My company requires the technicians be MCPs. As I am not a technician, but the office Office expert, I’ve been told I need to take the MOS tests. While I have not gotten a straight answer on how far I’m required to go (specialist, expert, master), I know I have to start somewhere.

My problem is, while I can use Word, Excel and PowerPoint for all the needs of the office and our clients, I know there is a lot I don’t know for the tests. I’ve been going through the Microsoft Study Guide, but it is tedious.

I would appreciate any insight from those who have taken any of the tests. What to expect, what is stressed (besides me), how to prepare, when I can retest if I bomb.
