ms outlook 2003

am using ms outlook 2003 for emails!
last week i was archiving my emails so as i can be
reconfigure the setting due to the crashing of our mail server (ms exchange 2003)

after reconfigure and given new profile all my old emails were lost. I tried to look and import from the archived emails but there was nothing in it. and find myself stack and wondering what has really happened!!?

what could be gone wrong?
is there possibility i can recover them? how?
