I am currently designing an enterprise network for about600 router-locations using OSPF protocol. Clients with requirement of very low BW but fast response, having dumb terminals as well as thin-clients will be taking on-line services from a datacentre. The data centre is situated at one end of the network. Some External links are also terminating at the datacentre location.
Out of the following two schemes which one will be better? Any body may pl suggest.
i) -Area0 at the datacentre,
-10/12 Non-backbone areas with a common ABR at datacentre location, on an inverted tree structure.
-40/50 internal routers per area,
ii) -Extended Area0 with one ASBR at datacentre and 20/24 ABRs,(@two ABRs per Area)on a High BW mesh network spreaded across the geographical territory.
-70/80 internal routers per area.
