Multiple gateways

I’m sure there is a slick, sexy method for accomplishing what I’m trying to do, but I haven’t been able to stumble on it yet. I need to create a second gateway to accommodate specific VPN needs with an offsite Cisco router; we’re using a Linksys RV082. Our current infrastructure consists of a Sonicwall firewall into a Netgear Smartswitch. As I said, I’m sure that Sonicwall allows for NAT policies that would work with my needs, I simply haven’t had any luck getting the Sonicwall to work with the Linksys. Then I had a thought: why not use a smaller switch to deal with the devices. I did some preliminary testing and they both work fine; seemingly without a hitch. However, I’m hoping to get some feedback on what problems we might be vulnerable to. Obviously the first that comes to mind is DOS attacks.

Regards,
Caleb
