There are two active network interfaces on our server machine running on Windows Server 2003. Both have same default gateway with DHCP enabled.
————————————————
Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection 4:
Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : ***.***.**
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 10.109.56.11
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.248.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . : 10.109.56.1
Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection 2:
Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : ***.***.**
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 10.109.56.12
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.248.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . : 10.109.56.1

Our network administrator says that setting same default gateway on both adapters is a bad practice. But when we remove default gateway on one of the adapters then it stops sending packets. Also, only one of the interface pulls the default gateway if not specified directly
Please help me in this regard.
Thanks in Advance
