Multiple network cards problem

Hello,
I have a Windows 2000 Server with three network cards. Two is Builtin (100 MB) LAN card and one (1 GB) LAN card. When the server tries to access the other network member that response is very slow. Some time server was not access on the network.
When I restart the system everything works fine.
How can I get this to work?
