We have 50 employees who are using Microsoft Outlook for task management. There is a mix of about 50% Outlook 2003 and 50% Outlook 2007. We do not have an exchange server and are relying on pop3 e-mail to assign the tasks.
Out of the 50 employees, we have three who cannot open task requests from other people. When attempting to open or accept the task through the preview pane they get an error that says “The operation failed”. They can send task requests that can be opened by others but they cannot open, accept or delete tasks sent to them.
I’ve searched many Microsoft as well as other forums and found a few solutions but none are successfull. One suggestion pointed to a security update from Microsoft but none of the pc’s are running this update. Others recommended clearing the forms cache which I have done but it did not help.
I’m at a loss with this one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
