My Blackweb HDMI to USB type c adapter doesn’t work

I had recently bought a Blackweb HDMI to USB type c adapter and it doesn’t not display the screen from my LG Stylo 4 onto the TV like I was told it was going to. All it does is keep it as a power supply and will not change from that. Am I doing something wrong or could my phone not be compatible with the adapter?
