on what I should be looking at? This happens a lot when we are just surfing the net or talking on IM (AOL). The PC would just freeze and my keyboard and mouse would just stop working (and lights go out on my keyboard). A little bit about my pc:
– It’s an emachines W2888 (3 years old)
– was previously dead but I’ve revived it by installing new PSU and Motherboard
– New motherboard brand is ‘ASRock P4VM890 Socket 478 VIA P4M890 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard’
– It has an Intel Celeron CPU 2.8Ghz
– I installed a video card 2 weeks ago, around the same time the crashes started but could be a coincidence (Nvidia GeForce 7300LE)
– Originally had 500MB of RAM but I added another stick 3 weeks ago, now 1GB.
– Operating system is Windows XP SP2
– PC is up to date with Microsoft updates and is well maintained by running Registry Mechanic, Spyware Doctor, CCleaner, FirstRegistry Aid and Lavasoft Ad-Aware. PC has a firewall and virus protection
– PC has a 80GB hard drive of which only 10GB has been used (leaving 70GB free)
