My Keyboard keys not functioning

I have 3 user accounts on my LG LesoExpress laptop,with one account my keyboard keys are not working.At first I get this SVCHOST.EXE error just before my desktop settings apply,no folder option,and no keys seem to be working.But the funny thing is whe logged on as a different user everything seems to be working fine.Is this some sort of a virus? had this feeling since i’ve dealt with a similar symptom but with a difference of a working keyboard.Can this this disable my keys on one user account & leave the others? The machine’s running WinXP Home SP2.When in safe mode the keys gives only a beep!
