It really drives me crazy when I receive a response to someone else’s e-mail when the response has nothing to do with me. I.e., misuse of that danged ‘Reply All’ feature. I like that the feature exists. I dislike people who don’t seem to recognize that you can just ‘reply to sender’ as well!
About top-posting… I find it aggravating when I have to scan past my old post to read the reply. I find that many users that prefer to reply in this fashion forget to trim the old signatures and such from the bottom of the e-mails and end up replying in the middle of the mess.
More aggravating, however, is when my old post ISN’T (caps for emphasis… didn’t mean to yell!) included with the reply at all. Since we’ve gone (mostly) from snail mail to e-mail, people have forgotten how to write in complete thoughts and sentences and this becomes wildly apparent when you cannot refer to what you what you wrote when you are reading the reply.
Finally, while I am terribly guilty of this myself (as is evidenced by the above), LONG e-mails virtually guarantee that I will not be replying right away. Too much effort involved!
